Seraphita2013 from Richlands, Virginia offered this from a November 2018 visit:
“Great hotel – We really enjoyed this hotel. The staff was nice and said hello to us every time they saw us and check in/out was fast. The hotel is beautiful with tons of rustic wood finishes. They serve complimentary breakfast every morning and have water/coffee/tea dispensers near gift shop. The patio is nice and has heaters for the winter and you can order room service from restaurant next door. The room itself was nice and extremely clean. There’s a basic kitchen setup minus oven (has stove top). They included dishes and there’s a dishwasher so you could cook some basic meals in the kitchen. Towels are nice and thick. I liked how they included shower caps and makeup remover wipes in the bathroom. I don’t see that at many hotels. It’s hidden a bit off the main highway and traffic noise isn’t a problem. I noticed that they have a fish cleaning station and storage for fishing rods and beach equipment. That’s extremely nice for people coming to fish or have tons of beach stuff. I’d like to stay here again if we are in the area.”

“Once again a great stay – Some friends and I have been getting together in Murrells Inlet for several years now. We have made it our habit to stay at “the Lodge.” The rooms are great, the folks that run the place are committed to their guests and there is a fabulous Italian restaurant called Costas directly adjacent. We have already booked for our 2019 stay.”
And not to be outdone, danam220 from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina shared these thoughts about an October 2018 stay:
“NEW FAVORITE! – This place is amazing. Beautiful accommodations. Great widows walk with views of the water. Very clean, great kitchenette. This place has it all, spacious rooms, perfect shower, even bathrobes. Cannot wait to return!!”
